Every year, during winter there are tryouts. They place you in either Cadet (younger class), JV2 or JV1 (me), or Varsity 1 or Varsity 2 (Until Senior year of high school).
​
You practice almost everyday of the week and create an amazing dance with usually around 30 people.
​
Then, every Saturday, you travel to somewhere on a bus and perform while competing against other schools' guards.
​
The judges give you either a Gold, Bronze, or Silver rating. Or you will be placed 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, or 1st place.
​
(Only three people go out for awards while the others sit and watch.)
​
The last one, everyone goes out..
